Sri Krishna Dvaram Construction
Part of Sri Sri Radha Shyamsundar Temple Project

The proposed arch is at the entrance of the Hare Krishna Road. The Mini Bye pass road and the Grand Trunk Highway Road are connected by the Hare Krishna road on which Sri Sri Radhe Shyam temple complex is located. Our Hare Krishna road has become a high traffic road since it connects Nellore town and the Grand trunk bye pass road. So the presence of an arch at the entrance of this road will make it a landmark and the Holy name of Krishna will be chanted by the mass of people everyday many times.

Estimated cost of the Krishna Arch Construction is approx. 6 Lakhs. Our donor Sri Pundla Venku Reddy has come forward to donate for the complete construction. The Krishna Arch will feature a deity of Sri Krishna with Cow in the top center.

The constuction of the arch has been started immediately and is progressing steadily. Photos of the on going construction work is included below. Additional Designs for the Arch were drafted after reviewing various arches around the country.

Bhoomi Puja Ceremony for Sri Krishna Dvaram - an arch marking the entrance of the Hare Krishna Road on which the ISKCON Temple, Nellore is situated was performed on 23 September 2007, an Ekadasi day.

Sri Krishna Dvaram Construction was donated by the famous contractor from Nellore SRI PUNDLA VENKU REDDY.
For the Bhoomi puja ceremony, dignitaries -

Other special guests like Sri Harendra Reddy and Srimati Bhanushree were also present for the land breaking ceremony. After the arrival of all the dignitaries the Shankustapana ceremony was performed from 9.30 to 10.00 A.M .

Apart from the dignitaries, many devotees and public took part in the ceremony and enthusiastically chanted the Holy Names of Krishna and danced for Harinam.

On an auspicious Ekadasi Day, accompanied by the chanting and dancing of the Holy Names, with the blessings of Srila Prabhupada and Guru parampara, Shankustapana ceremony was performed by H.H Sukadeva Swami Maharaja and the other devotees of Nellore ISKCON, donors and guests.

After the ceremony , Harinam was continued for an hour and then sumptuous Ekadasi lunch prasadam was distributed to all devotees and Guests.
