From the Vamana Purana
On building a temple for Madhava, one attains the eternal vaikuntha lokas. One who offers a garden with fruits and flowers ascends to heaven. Who ever attempts to construct a temple will deliver 8 generations of his ancestors.

From the Visnu Dharmottara
A person who builds a temple for the Lord will simply achieve the results of all other sacrifices like Rajasuya yajnas etc. As many atoms are there in the temple, that many years one become eligible to stay in heaven.

From the Skanda Purana
Just by starting the construction of Krishna temple all one's sins are wiped out and he will deliver his forefathers also.

From the Srimad Bhagavatam
One who offers the Deity gifts of land, markets, cities and villages so that the regular daily worship and special festivals of the Deity may go on continually will achieve opulence equal to My own. (SB 11.27.51)

From the Bhagavad Gita
Charity given out of duty, without expectation of return, at the proper time and place, and to a worthy person is considered to be in the mode of goodness. (Bg 17.20)

If you cannot practice the regulations of bhakti-yoga, then just try to work for Me, because by working for Me you will come to the perfect stage. (Bg 12.10)
