All Glories to Srila Prabhupada !
All glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga! |
When Srila Prabhupada visited Nellore in 1976, he expressed his desire to build a beautiful
temple for Sri Sri Radha Krishna, in this sea
shore town, which can serve as a Vedic
Culture and Learning Center. By the divine
plan in 1996 H.H
Sukadeva Swami came to know about the visit of
Srila Prabhupada to Nellore.
Being a native of Andhra Pradesh, Maharaj
desired to take up the temple
development.
By his untiring efforts, Bhoomi puja for the actual temple
construction was started on 1st January 2006. By the causeless mercy of Krishna and
Srila Prabhupada, Phase I construction of the temple
has come to a prominent stage
with the construction of temple hall, dining
hall, a separate Deity kitchen and a store room for deity paraphernalia. Still there is a large amount of work
pending to complete Phase I of the
construction, such as the exterior
fiberglass work, front elevation
design, Kalasa Installation for the
Gopurams, painting of wood work in and outside the
temple. |
Guest House Construction |
ISKCON Nellore has a guest house with a capacity of 35 rooms. Each room has a double cot,
attached bath and area to dry clothes. Many donars have donated for
these rooms. Donars can avail these rooms during their visit to the
Temple. Many elder devotees had donated for
rooms and are spending their
valuable time in Krishna Consciousness by
staying in the guest house and attending
Arati and doing Seva to the Lordships.
Appeal to the Public
There are still many rooms available, so those who are interested in donating for the Lord's Seva
are welcomed. Apart from this, they can avail those rooms during their
visit to the Temple. If they are interested
they can stay in those rooms and spend
their time in the Seva of the Lord.
Donation for each room is Rs. 1 lakh
Interested people can contact our temple management for reserving their rooms. Please
Contact Us for any other queries also.
Apart from this, four Separate rooms for Sannyasis and other senior devotees, each with a double cot and an attached bath facility are also available. |
